DJ XL grew up in SC where music was a major part of the community. At a young age I was draw to music and how it made people feel. My first love encounter with the art of DJing was seeing my cousin DJ La Mel from Brooklyn, NY mixing and scratching on vinyl at a family reunion. From that day in 1981, the vision of him taking my family on a musical ride stayed with me and I’ve studied and pursed the craft of DJing ever since. So for me, I enjoy giving the crowd good vibes and positive energy. My goal for each and every set I do is intended to take listers on a trip through time and memories.
